Welcome to your weekend!
It’s Fab Five Friday when you get to see five of my favorite things this week. Enjoy!
Listen: There is no link to share here. This weekend you need to listen to the ghost stories. Listen to the legends and lore of your land. Listen to the adventures and wisdom of your ancestors. Take time this weekend to remember and honor your ancestors, and all the dead who have impacted your life on way or another. They are always with us, but this is the time when our society is much more aware. Join in the fun and remember.
Afterlife News?: The best podcast you’re missing out on is Skeptiko. Listen to scientists from both sides of the fence be taken to task on consciousness, near death experiences, mediums, and the afterlife.
Pagan Thoughts: Should Paganism be part of the mainstream? Sure, I believe we belong in society at large with our paths and services. However, we always have elements that can only exist on the fringe pushing and challenging the status quo. That’s a topic John Beckett tackles with his post Must Paganism Be Transgressive? Enjoy!
Calling All Vanatru!: Molly Khan is on a mission. She’s put out a survey to compile information about Heathens who work with the Vanir. If you honor any of the Vanir in your work, please take a few minutes to help her out.
Local News: Are you interested in the benefits of Essential Oils? Are you in the Mattoon and Charleston area of Illinois? Join the Young Living Free Essential Oil Class! It’s on Sunday, November 8th from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Central Community Church at 200 Lafayette Ave. East in Mattoon Illinois. Make sure you sign up with Andrea Reed when you decide to buy!
Are you enjoying Fab Five Friday? Hit me up on Twitter. Tell me your favorites, what you want to see more of, and what would you like to do without? Do you have suggestions? Recommendations on blogs, books, music, tarot, services, shows, events or anything else? Send a tweet to @lonnie_scott with your thoughts! Make sure you include #FabFiveFriday in your tweet! You can also comment below.
That’s a wrap.
Fab Five Friday, out! Throwing down the mic and walking off stage.
May you enjoy a weekend full of discovery and wonder with many reasons to love and laugh!
